Membership

Become a member

Membership is the simplest way to back the community and have a say in how it runs.

What you get

Member-only events

The AGM, members' dinners and gatherings we do not open to the general public.

A vote at the AGM

Elect the committee and have a say in the association's direction.

Early access and discounts

Ticket presales for events that sell out, plus discounts with partner businesses.

Youth programs

Priority access to mentoring and the annual scholarship round for members' families.

The members' WhatsApp group

Day-to-day chat, event reminders and quick questions. Members only, and you join from the portal once you're in.

The members portal

Manage your details, renew online and see what is coming up for members.

Being counted

Membership numbers are what we point to when we apply for grants and speak to councils.

Common questions

Do I have to be Eritrean to join?
No. Partners, friends and supporters of the community are welcome to join as members.
What if $25 is difficult right now?
Email us. We have never turned anyone away over the fee, and the conversation stays between you and the treasurer.
When does membership run?
From the day you join through to 31 December. We send a reminder before it lapses.
Where does the fee go?
Venues, permits, insurance, food at community events and the youth programs. Nobody at ECA is paid. Full accounts are presented to members at the AGM, and you can see what we are working on at any time on the projects board.
